In advance of the 27th UN Climate Conference in Egypt (COP27), the VPIC became a signatory to the 2022 Global Investor Statement to Governments on the Climate Crisis, alongside 604 investors managing over $42 trillion in assets. The Statement will be sent to the heads of state and was initiated by the seven Founding Partners of the Investor Agenda (Asia Investor Group on Climate Change, CDP, Ceres, Investor Group on Climate Change, Institutional Investors Group on Climate Change, Principles for Responsible Investment, and UNEP Finance Initiative) to encourage heads of state to adopt clear policy frameworks that encourage capital flows towards urgent climate action.
